- Ryan Sieg and 2000 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Jeff Green told Frontstretch this week they will both return to RSS Racing in 2019 for the full Xfinity season. The team is hoping to find funding.
- GMS Racing competes full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with drivers Cody Coughlin, Johnny Sauter, Justin Haley and Dalton Sargeant, and the NASCAR XFINITY Series with Spencer Gallagher.

The Ford FR9 Carb engine platform was originally launched in 2009 and has been competitively raced in NASCAR ever since. It is also the foundation for the evolution of the Ford NASCAR FR9 EFI race engine.
